Callum explained that viewers of the dating show judge islanders, but only see part of each day: “People can judge from an outside perspective. Obviously they don’t see 24 hours of Love Island they only see 60 minutes so people can judge clearly but we are still together

“That was the main thing I went in for, so yeah, I’d say we proved a few people wrong.”

Reflecting on his experience, he said, “I didn’t think I’d get a girlfriend and we’d move in together. I was really open minded and the thing I really wanted was to find someone

“Of course it’s not 100% if you go in there that you’re going to get that, but we got lucky and we’re still here.”

But things didn’t always go smoothly for the couple as their meeting caused a stir on the ITV2 show.

Callum entered the show as one of the original contestants in episode one of the series, and was in touch with Shaughna Phillips in the beginning.

The pair grew their relationship and continued to thrive until the infamous Casa Amor came along – who saw Molly’s arrival on the show.

Callum said, “People can judge from an external perspective. Obviously they don't see 24 hours of Love Island, they only see 60 minutes, so people can judge of course, but we're still together.

Molly and Callum got on well when they met, and he decided to return to the villa with her – leaving Shaughna devastated when she had to fly alone.

She was later dumped from the villa when Luke Mabbott teamed up with Demi Jones instead of her – while Molly and Callum made it to days before the finals, before being dumped by their fellow islanders.

Speaking about his experience after leaving the villa, he said: “I got quite a bit of abuse from the Shaughna situation, but that would always happen anyway, but other than that I didn’t really get much.”

He has used the social media platforms to showcase his cooking, saying, “This is something I’ve been doing for years, like even on my Love Island VT in 2019, I think it was filmed, I said my favorite thing to do.” was cooking so it’s not something new

“I feel like I’m posting a lot more about my hobbies and what I really like, rather than just posting now

‘I just feel like it’s not very organic if you take pictures of things you don’t really want because cooking is something I really enjoy’

Callum revealed that Molly has only cooked for him a few times, saying ‘there is only one chef in our house and that’s me’

He went on to express his frustration after seeing the current Love Island series: “This is kind of annoying because in the recent series I’ve seen, they all have smoothie machines and they make their own food.

“When we were there, we didn’t really have anything. We only made breakfast and that was very limited, I think it was only eggs we made.’

“But I really love this series, I told Molly last night. Just because they gave it a twist in the beginning, that really got mixed up.

“My favorites so far, for the guys I like Jacques, Luca and Davide – he has some brilliant one-liners.”

Callum’s advice for the new entrants is: ‘Be yourself. That’s all you can really do. Because if you’re not yourself and try to play games, you’ll just get caught.’
