Jessica Alves has expressed concerns about her life prior to her latest surgery as she prepares to undergo a gastric sleeve, which leaves her with 25% of her stomach.

The plastic surgery fanatic spoke exclusively to MailOnline prior to the surgery and revealed that she is concerned about the surgery being different from her previous work, as the cover is medical rather than cosmetic.

After her weight rose to 16 stones in lockdown and doctors branded her obese, Jessica, 37, decided to undergo surgery at the Mono Obesity Clinic in Turkey, but admitted she was scared and concerned.

She said, “This is more complex and health related. They slit my stomach and I’m only left with 25% of my stomach. Hopefully I’ll start losing weight after that.’

Last month, after undergoing another breast augmentation, Jessica revealed she was considering gastric bypass after gaining weight from her recent gender reassignment surgery, which left her “suffering with her confidence.”

Earlier in an interview with MailOnline, she admitted she’s undecided about going under the knife to help with her weight, as she revealed she “weighs 100 pounds” and “can’t shift it.”

Now that she’d taken the plunge, Jessica spoke to MailOnline at the Mono Clinic, who said: “I’ve done all the tests and my health is good, they’re checking everything – heart, breathing and blood tests – the doctor has about 3000 gastric cuffs performed. ‘

‘I was diagnosed as obese if I weigh 16′ [101kg] – I was 10-11th [65-70kg] – I’m really huge, but you don’t see that in pictures.’

She revealed that her gender reassignment process, including taking hormones, had led to her weight gain and lockdown.

She explained: ‘For the past almost two years I’ve been transitioning, then there was a lockdown and I was indoors, not exercising, eating, eating, eating…

‘The hormone therapy increased the appetite and slowed down the metabolism and triggered me to lose weight. Obviously I’m afraid of the surgery because it’s not plastic or cosmetic surgery like I’ve done others.”

About her fear of the surgery, she said, “This is more complex and health-related. They slit my stomach and I’m only left with 25% of my stomach. Hopefully I’ll start losing weight after that.’

Speaking of her results, she said: ‘After three months I will be able to see drastic results and only one liquid diet and I will never be hungry…

“Of course the biggest hunger will disappear from the stomach and when I’m thinner I would like to be a glamor model and explore my femininity.”

WHAT IS BARIATRIC SURGERY?

Bariatric surgery is a variety of procedures designed to help a patient lose weight.

Surgeries include shrinking the stomach with a gastric band or removing part of the stomach through a gastric sleeve.

It also includes gastric bypass surgery, in which surgeons divert the bowel into a small stomach pouch that shrinks the stomach.

Speaking to MailOnline, Jessica explained: ‘I went up to 1500cc, they are huge but fit me so much better – I think I’ll be a cup size H.’

Sharing her snap on Instagram, she wrote: ‘Day 1 after my breast implant surgery in @beclinic_brussels by Dr Frank Plovier and I feel great, no pain at all!!’

Keeping fans updated on her latest surgery, Jessica took to social media on Thursday to praise her surgeon’s work.

She wrote: ‘Today was a very good and special day for me when I had my breast implants replaced at @beclinic_brussels by the wonderful Dr. Frank Plover.

‘My previous implants were far apart and too low, I could only use a push-up bra, which is very uncomfortable. My previous implants were 725cc and the new ones are 1500cc and it fits me so much better.

“Dr Plovier is the master of breast surgery. A woman from all over the world is featured here and I couldn’t be in better hands. I feel so happy today!’
