Liam Payne may have been hearing voices before he plunged into his tragic death, former NBA star and recovering drug addict Lamar Odom has claimed.
The former One Direction superstar died last week at age 31 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina.
Preliminary results of toxicology tests on Payne’s remains found traces of cocaine, benzodiazepine, crack cocaine and ‘pink cocaine,’ a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA.
Testing continues on substances found in his suite (white powder, traces of chemical crystals and prescription medications), but an autopsy concluded that the singer died from his injuries after falling 45 feet.
Odom, former star of the Clippers, Heat, Lakers and Mavericks, claims to have consumed all the drugs found in the singer’s system.

The 44-year-old, who was previously married to Khloe Kardashian, said TMZ that the substances could have caused Payne to hallucinate and hear voices in his head before falling from his room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires.
Odom, who considers crack to be the worst of all, revealed that he heard voices during his drug-using days.
The two-time NBA champion has overcome his problems and now runs a “wellness treatment network” (Odom Recovery) to help people “recover like a champion.”
As revealed by DailyMail.com, Payne was said to be drug-free and had won the battle against his demons, before being driven back into desperation by drug dealers targeting him in Buenos Aires.

The 31-year-old had been battling mental health issues for years and had sought treatment for his excessive alcohol and drug use.
But, according to a close friend, Payne had recently detoxified and been hired by a new psychiatrist in Miami, where he hoped to start a new life with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
However, his recovery was shattered during his ill-fated trip to Argentina to renew his US visa when he was attacked by drug dealers who delivered them to his hotel room, a close friend revealed.
Argentine police and prosecutors investigating the tragedy are treating it as an “inconclusive death” as they continue to search for the drug dealer who supplied him that night.
