Actress Shobna Gulati was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire by Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace.
The former Coronation Stress actress, 58, who played Sunita Alahan, received the honor at an investiture ceremony in London on Wednesday.
Shobna, who was appointed MBE for her services to the cultural industries, looked glamorous for the momentous day.
She looked elegant in a dark blue satin midi dress with cap sleeves, a roll-neck bodice and an asymmetrical pleated skirt.
Shobna paired the dress with black suede heeled boots and a red and navy fedora hat.
She accessorized it with a pair of massive drop earrings, which featured a massive sapphire gemstone surrounded by diamonds.

Shobna recently detailed that she has felt “rejected” and is questioning her career choice after missing another audition in an emotional Instagram post.
He seems to have had trouble getting acting roles and jobs.
Shobna updated her followers and wrote, ‘The face of rejection for something I didn’t even know I wanted to do in the first place.
‘Honestly, why the hell did I choose this career? Sometimes I really don’t know, just so it’s cold out there (sic)’
Her post comes after she revealed that since allowing her long locks to grow grey, after dying her hair brunette for years, she now feels more “comfortable.”
The soap star wrote: ‘Wiser? Definitely older! and very silvery, growing grayish.
“Many said I should re-dye the dark brown hair I had: ‘I look old, why am I succumbing to being an old woman?’ It’s not attractive, etc., etc.”
‘But times are changing and I am very happy with what has happened and I feel very comfortable now.

She continued: “Ours is a society obsessed with youth, but the good news is that I have watched a lot of European thrillers and dramas during lockdown and it seems that being a woman of a certain age and experience is represented on screen.
‘Whatever you look like is fine; The faces move and there are gray hairs, things that I have allowed myself to do.’
The actress played Sunita Alahan on Corrie between 2001 and 2006, returning to the popular role between 2009 and 2013.
