Former AFL WAG Amy Pejkovic has revealed the grim reality of being single in her thirties following her split from Essendon footballer David Zaharakis.
The model, 31, said she found it difficult to adapt to being without a partner at her age and was forced to move in with her parents after their breakup.
“I’m single and 31 years old and that’s definitely not something I thought I’d ever say,” Amy said in a video posted to Instagram.
She admitted that she felt humiliated by the situation.
“When I was younger I thought I would get married and have kids and a house at 31. Instead, I moved back in with my parents and they treat me like a 14-year-old.” she said.

‘I look at myself and I’m just not where I thought I would be. It’s a hard pill to swallow.
Amy ended by saying that she hoped things would get better and asked her fans to share similar stories with her.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Amy was suffering from a broken heart, but was handling their split in a “mature” way.

“We decided we would be better as friends,” he told Herald of the sun on Sunday.
‘I’m proud of how we’ve handled it. “We weren’t as compatible as we thought,” he continued.
‘I loved him with all my heart and I have a lot of admiration for him and I still love him. He is also very excited to see what I will do next year. Such is life.’
Amy said she is now concentrating on her career and may move to Europe to work as a model and ambassador.
He has performances at the Australian Open and the Australian Grand Prix on his busy schedule.
Zaharakis has also been making changes in his life and career.
The former Essendon midfielder has done so well in his transformation into an Ironman competitor that he will take on the “elite of the elite” at the sport’s world championships this month.
Zaharakis played 226 games in 13 AFL seasons for the Bombers before retiring in 2021.
He was a fan favorite in red and black, winning the Anzac Day Medal in 2013 after a commanding performance against Collingwood, as well as being crowned the club’s best and fairest player in 2011.
