The former headmaster of a social school who sexually abused several girls and a 14-year-old boy has died while serving a prison sentence.
Frank Valentine, 82, died at Westmead Hospital in Sydney’s west at about 4pm on Thursday after being transferred to end-of-life care.
A spokesman for Corrective Services of New South Wales confirmed that Valentine died in hospital yesterday.
“As a matter of protocol, NSW Corrective Services and NSW Police investigate all deaths in custody regardless of the circumstances,” the spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
Valentine was convicted in 2019 of 21 counts of rape, assault and indecent assault against six teenagers and the boy.
He was sentenced at the time to 22 years in prison with a non-parole period of 13 years.
Valentine was charged with the offences in 2016 while living at a seaside property in Redcliffe in Queensland, the court reported. The Telegraph newspaper.
She was Deputy Superintendent of Parramatta Girls’ Training School from 1971 to 1973.

Valentine used his position as head of the child welfare institution to abuse several victims.
Two of the victims he abused were pregnant at the time they were sent to the institution following a juvenile court decision.
One victim was raped inside an underground “dungeon” within the institution.
The school housed convicted juvenile delinquents, but many pupils were wards of the state and were sent to the school because they had dysfunctional families or dead parents.
The school housed 30,000 girls from 1840 until its closure in 1974.

Valentine had his sentence reduced to 20 years in prison with a non-parole period of 13 years following a ruling by the Court of Criminal Appeals.
He spent five years in custody at the Metropolitan Reception and Remand Centre at Silverwater and Long Bay prison before his death.
