Proven journalist and respected commentator Peter van Onselen has joined WhatsNew2Day Australia as its new political editor.
In his new role, Dr van Onselen will offer exclusives and offer both political and social commentary.

Dr van Onselen, a professor of politics at the University of Western Australia, was a contributing editor to The Australian newspaper for 15 years.

Dr van Onselen has interviewed every prime minister since Malcolm Fraser and has written books on John Howard, Tony Abbott, Malcolm Turnbull, Morrison and Anthony Albanese.

WhatsNew2Day Australia was Australia’s third most read business news website in March 2024, according to Ipsos figures.
Dr. van Onselen begins his new role on April 29.
