President Joe Biden made a statement with his outfit when he walked onto the stage of The View and did a little jogging.
Biden, 81, showed his support for Ukraine by wearing a pin depicting the U.S. and Ukrainian flags side by side.
The Democrat received a standing ovation from hosts and audiences on the ABC talk show on Wednesday.
But many viewers were angered by Biden’s choice of pin, accusing the president of putting foreign interests above those of the United States.
Right-wing outlet Townhall.com highlighted the X-shaped pin, writing: “Joe Biden sports a Ukraine flag pin on ‘The View.'”

One X user supported Biden’s statement on Ukraine in a comment below the outlet’s post, writing: “Yeah so? Ukraine is our ally, unlike MAGA Republicans in Congress.”
But other X-users questioned the president’s decision to use the pin, claiming his administration is putting too much emphasis on Ukraine following Russia’s invasion.
One person wrote: ‘Biden appears on the sitcom The View wearing a pin with the US and Ukraine flags together. Where is his Israel and US pin? As an American, I am sickened by the Biden-Harris administration’s unjust hatred of some of our allies and even more disgusted by their hatred and contempt for half of American citizens and for America and everything this country stands for.’
Another added: “I saw a video today of Biden. He was wearing a pin with both the American and Ukrainian flags. It’s a disgrace. Our president should only wear ONE flag, the American one.”
Many viewers were angered by Biden’s choice of pin, accusing the president of putting foreign interests above those of the United States.
The Democratic Party has remained committed to supporting Ukraine since the nation was invaded by Russia in February 2022.
Demonstrating his commitment to the Ukrainian cause, Biden urged supporters of Ukraine to stand firm in his final address to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
“We cannot get tired,” he said. “We cannot look away.”
His appearance before the world body offered Biden one of his last high-profile opportunities as president to make the case for maintaining strong support for Ukraine, which could be in doubt if former President Donald Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in November.
During his appearance on The View, Biden criticized Trump for having no redeeming social value and indicated that he would like to squash him like a bug.
The president was greeted like a rock star by his hosts, who flattered him, and by the audience, who gave him a standing ovation.
“It’s like having one of the Beatles at the table,” gushed The View’s Sara Haines.
Whoopi Goldberg praised the president repeatedly during her 30-minute appearance on the show.
“You were my salvation,” he said. “Thank you for everything you’ve done in my life.”
The president was greeted like a rock star by his hosts, who flattered him, and by the audience, who gave him a standing ovation.
“He’s a guy who likes to kiss,” Joy Behar said. “I like that about him.”
When Biden first emerged to sustained applause, Behar told the crowd: “They love you.”
“It’s always better when you’re gone,” Biden replied.
Biden also spoke about his decision to drop out of the race and was candid in his assessment of Trump.
“I’m at peace with my decision,” Biden said of his exit from the presidential race.
He had harsh words for Trump, however, launching some of his harshest criticism yet against the Republican presidential nominee.
“There’s not a lot of redeeming social value in that,” Biden said of the former president. “He doesn’t really believe in democracy.”

“I’m not sure he even understands what he’s doing,” he added.
The president repeated his argument that he could have beaten Trump but decided “I love my country more,” an argument he has used repeatedly in describing his decision to step down, which came amid pressure from his party to drop out of the race.
“I never quite believed the claims that there was somehow an overwhelming reluctance to me competing again. I didn’t feel that way,” he said. “We were always within striking distance of beating that guy.”
“I was confident that I would beat Trump,” he said.
But Democrats, led by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, believed Biden would lose and drag the party down with him after his disastrous debate with Trump. Party leaders pressured him to step aside.
Biden laughed when The View hosts asked him about Pelosi.
“Our relationship is fine,” he said.
Biden, who defeated Trump in the 2020 election, revealed the advice he gave Harris, describing her as a partner in his administration.
“Be yourself. She’s very smart, first of all. She’s tough,” he said.
“As vice president, there was nothing I could do that she couldn’t do. I was able to delegate responsibilities to her in all areas, from foreign policy to domestic policy,” he said.
He was effusive in his praise of his vice president.
“I think she has the energy, the intelligence, the courage, the stamina and the guts to do the right thing,” he said of Harris.
Biden, 81, also seemed incredulous at his age.
“I find it hard to even say how old I am. Seriously. I’m giving my word. It’s like God can’t be right.”
