Everton striker Moise Kean ‘set for Serie A return with former club Juventus’ after completing medical with Italian giants

  • Moise Kean failed to settle at Everton, scoring just four goals in 39 games
  • The 21-year-old striker came over from Juventus to Everton in the summer of 2019
  • The Merseyside club are interested in signing Burnley winger Dwight McNeil

Everton striker Moise Kean is reportedly poised to return to Juventus.

The player’s agent Mino Raiola has been in Italy in recent days to negotiate the transfer and the 21-year-old completed a medical at the club on Sunday.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano Everton and Juventus reached an agreement for Kean this weekend and the deal will be announced.

Everton boss Rafa Benitez included Kean in his rosters this season, but he was sent off for 15 minutes on Tuesday in the second half of their ill-tempered Carabao Cup tie against Huddersfield Town following an off-the-ball clash with Duane Holmes.

The 21-year-old has been unable to settle at Goodison Park since his move from Juve in the summer of 2019 and was loaned to Paris Saint-Germain last season.

He rediscovered his form in front of goal with the French giants, scoring 17 goals in 41 appearances.

His form for Everton was much less impressive, however, as he scored just four goals in 39 appearances for the club.

Everton must sack players to help Benitez strengthen elsewhere, while their biggest earner James Rodriguez is discussing a loan to Porto as part of the deal that would bring Luis Diaz to Everton.

Benitez would like to add Burnley’s Dwight McNeil and they’ve made an approximation for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, but a lot depends on what they can generate in the coming days before Tuesday’s deadline.
