- Everton are the second worst scorers in the Premier League this season
- They are now targeting a permanent move for an Aston Villa star
- Hear It’s all starting! Jack Grealish will not be allowed to roam at Man City… will be sold this summer if things don’t change
Everton have reignited interest in Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene.
The 22-year-old turned down Everton and Ipswich in the summer to return to Villa from Hull City, but is available this window with Everton exploring a permanent deal.
Philogene has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Villa this season but has been used heavily from the bench by Unai Emery.
He could now get the chance for more playing time at Goodison Park as the Toffees aim to secure their Premier League status before moving to their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock this summer.
Goals have been difficult to come by for Sean Dyche’s men this season, with only bottom team Southampton finding the net fewer times in 2024-25.
In fact, Everton have failed to score in eight of their last 10 league games and are now just one point above the bottom three.

The Merseyside club need more in the final third if they are to stay top and have turned their attention to Philogene in a bid to address their creativity issues.
Everton return to action on Thursday night when they host Peterborough in the FA Cup third round.
They will then face Aston Villa, Philogene’s current club, in the Premier League next Wednesday.
