Everton are preparing to receive initial bids for Jarrad Branthwaite in the coming days.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham have all expressed interest in the 21-year-old English hopeful.

United and City are understood to be willing to offer more than £50m for the centre-back, although Everton are expected to be firm in their valuation.

Everton do not want to sell Branthwaite but there is recognition that players like him and midfielder Amadou Onana may be their best way to generate income after director of football Kevin Thelwell last week warned fans to expect sales.

United can offer one player as part of their bid, but they also have other options with the likes of Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi on their radar.

City may be looking to optimize their squad before making their move, but they are confirmed admirers of the Carlisle-born defender.

Meanwhile, United striker Mason Greenwood is the subject of interest from Italian side Napoli.

Getafe are seeking Greenwood on loan for another season, while there is also interest from mid-table Premier League teams.

It is understood that the 22-year-old’s preference would be to move abroad this summer.
