Eva Mendes announced that she will be releasing a children’s book, titled Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries, in a post she shared on her Instagram account on Thursday.
The 49-year-old artist revealed the cover of Abbey Bryant that showed a mother hugging her son.
The book will make its official debut on September 17.
The actress also shared a rare flashback photo that showed her holding one of her daughters she shares with partner Ryan Gosling; Together the actors have Esmeralda, nine years old, and Amada, seven.
Mendes went on to write a short message in the caption of his post, where he described Desi, Mommy, and the endless worries as “a true labor of love.”
The book will follow a young girl who is afraid of the monsters under her bed and overcomes them with the help of her mother.

Mendes also spoke with People and described the project as “a love letter to my children and yours.”
The Training Day actress compared her home to the one featured in her upcoming book.
“At my house and at Desi’s, we try to deal with the endless worries and anxieties that we all have, so that those negative thoughts don’t take over and dominate,” she said.
The artist then talked about how she was “especially excited that [Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries] It will be available in English and Spanish.’
Mendes also claimed that he had gained practical experience in calming children at night during his daughters’ early years.
“Inspired by our own nightly events with my daughters, Desi and Mami learn from each other how to confront our monsters, whether under our bed or in our heads,” she said.

The performer and the 43-year-old actor initially met while co-starring in the 2011 film The Place Beyond the Pines.

Mendes and Gosling started their own family with the birth of Esmeralda, which took place in September 2014.
