“At my house and at Desi’s, we try to deal with the endless worries and anxieties that we all have, so that those negative thoughts don’t take over and dominate,” she said.

Mendes also claimed that he had gained practical experience in calming children at night during his daughters’ early years.

“Inspired by our own nightly events with my daughters, Desi and Mami learn from each other how to confront our monsters, whether under our bed or in our heads,” she said.
