Despite struggling with certain aspects of parenting, Eva noted that she is grateful to have had children when she was older.
However, she admitted that the overwhelming amount of emails and her children’s constant need for attention sometimes tests her patience.
She revealed that although she tries to practice gentle parenting, she finds herself reverting to the way her parents raised her, which is through yelling.
‘I don’t shout when they need me. I never say “shut up.” It’s not like a “bad” scream, but it doesn’t matter. Shout. And it is these screams that I find so cultural.
‘I’m having a hard time communicating and not shouting. The rush and the shouting, that’s what costs me the most,” confessed the actress.
Eva admitted that she does everything she can to avoid raising her voice at her children.
When she can’t keep calm, the mother of two revealed that she often thinks about the things she could do better and what kind of mother she is.
‘I don’t like myself. I act like a baby,’ he said while remembering the times when he yelled at his children.
Star and 13-year-old partner Ryan fell in love while working on the 2012 film, The Place Beyond The Pines.
Eva has since focused on other business projects after the couple became parents and appears to have no plans to return to movie sets anytime soon.
