Alex Cooper has joined a roster of non-traditional commentators on NBC programming for its coverage of the 2024 Olympics.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Cooper will host a watch party called ‘Watch with Alex Cooper’ live from Paris during the games. The interactive show will give viewers an inside look at high-profile Team USA events such as soccer, gymnastics and basketball.
The ‘clock’ will appear as a picture-in-picture view during the games, with Cooper and his guests answering social media questions in real time while commenting on Peacock.
“I am very excited to partner with NBC and Peacock to present this interactive Olympic viewing format for the first time, designed to bring audiences even closer to the excitement of Paris,” Cooper said in a statement.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun,” he continued.

Mike Tirico, Peyton Manning and Kelly Clarkson will host NBCU’s coverage of the Olympic opening ceremonies.
The ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast host will join other non-traditional personalities to participate in NBCU coverage.
Singer Kelly Clarkson and NFL legend Peyton Manning will co-host NCBU’s coverage of the Olympic opening ceremonies with NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico. Meanwhile, hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg will join NBCU, playing the role of correspondent during primetime coverage.
The rapper joined Peacock for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with Kevin Hart. The pair interviewed athletes, including Simone Biles and Michael Phelps, and hosted ‘Watch Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg.’
According to executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production, Molly Solomon, Cooper: “attracted a fanatical audience by being absolutely funny and original, and has been a strong advocate for women’s sports and female empowerment.”
Cooper is the host of the podcast Call Her Daddy and founder of the media company ‘Trending’.
Peacock brought celebrities like Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg into Olympic coverage

Peacock’s ‘Watch With’ feature has previously been tested with shows such as ‘Bel-Air’, the Eurovision 2023 final and ‘Real Housewives’.
In addition to his successful podcast, Cooper recently launched his own media company, Trending, and its subsidiary, Unwell Network. He launched these projects with his partner Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.
