Former Manchester United star Anthony Martial has completed a shock move to a European club.
The striker has been a free agent since leaving Manchester United in the summer when his contract expired after a nine-year spell at Old Trafford.
But Greek giants AEK Athens have announced the signing of the Frenchman, writing on X that “the magician is coming.”
They also revealed that Martial will arrive at Venizelos Airport at 8:40pm and is expected to be greeted by fans upon his arrival.
Martial had previously been linked with several clubs including Brazil’s Flamengo but is now set to play in the Greek Super League.
SPORT24 It was previously reported that the company was exchanging final documents in order to finalise a deal lasting more than three years.
Martial is said to be on a reported £2.5m-a-season deal with AEK and the deal would have been announced on Monday evening if not for a delay, according to SPORT24.
