Jose Mourinho took six wins from his first six games as Roma manager when the Italian side defeated CSKA Sofia 5-1 on Thursday night in their Europa League group stage opener.
The Serie A leaders went on to score a goal for the Bulgarian club when Irish midfielder Graham Carey scored in the 10th minute.
But before halftime, they struck back strongly with goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Stephan El Sharaawy.

Pellegrini took his second after halftime before hopes for a Sofia comeback ended when Yanic Wildschut was sent off for a second yellow card.
The home side made a capital, Gianluca Mancini scored before Tammy Abraham completed the defeat.
Germany’s Union Berlin lost 3-1 to Slavia Prague on their European debut after having played with 10 men throughout the second half.
Gibraltar had its first team in a European group stage when Lincoln Red Imps lost 2-0 at home to Greece’s PAOK.
