Kovacic made 21 Premier League starts for Chelsea last season but was on the bench for the Champions League final – which came when the Blues defeated City 1-0 in Porto. His team-mate Mount secured Kai Havertz’s winner, while fullbacks James and Chilwell both played excellent games and all three will pose major threats to Croatia.
