Kalvin Phillips is the last person to sing the praises of his England team-mate Jude Bellingham, saying ‘the sky’s the limit’ for the 17-year-old prodigy.

Bellingham has seen a meteoric rise in his fledgling football career. Just under a year ago, he moved from Birmingham, where he was the club’s youngest ever player, to Borussia Dortmund.

After an impressive 46 appearances for the German club, including Champions League football, Bellingham has made his way into Gareth Southgate’s roster for Euro 2020.

Phillips is a huge fan and praised Bellingham as a potential world beater.

“I certainly haven’t seen a 17-year-old as talented as he is,” Phillips said. talkSPORT.

Phillips and Bellingham are likely to battle it out for a spot in Southgate’s starting 11 if Jordan Henderson is unavailable for England’s opening match of Euro 2020 against Croatia.

The Leeds midfielder also emphasized Bellingham’s maturity and ability, despite his age, and how he has made his rapid progress.

“He’s also a really nice guy so it’s nice to hang out with a young boy who is doing so well and now the sky is the limit for him.”
