Harry Kane and Declan Rice enjoy a game of cricket in Darlington as the England duo watch a local match after training and preparations for Euro 2020
There’s nothing like the peaceful buzz of village cricket to help you relax and take your mind off things.
Well, so it seems to England football captain Harry Kane and teammate Declan Rice.
Both players were spotted taking a break ahead of England’s final Euro 2020 warm-up match against Romania by attending a local cricket match at their training camp in Darlington.

Kane completed the village’s sense of tranquility by finding time to play with a dog who patrolled the edge of the cricket pitch and introduced himself to the star striker and his teammate Rice.
The few other spectators were probably surprised to see the English footballers, although Kane will not play against Romania on Sunday night so he can focus on being fully fit for the European Championship.

Rice played in England’s 1-0 win over Austria on Wednesday and could join Jordan Henderson in midfield in the final warm-up match.
Both Kane and Rice would do well to remember the peace and tranquility of the village cricket in Darlington, as the euro is likely to be anything but.
