The second season of the popular series aired its last episode in February 2022. The next season will arrive on Max in 2025.
The show’s creator, writer and director, Sam Levinson, was busy much of 2022 filming his critically panned and quickly canceled one-season series, The Idol, starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
It wasn’t until January of this year that HBO and Max Content CEO Casey Bloys confirmed to Deadline that Levinson had begun writing the scripts for the third season of Euphoria.
Bloys also explained to Variety that the new stardom of some members of the Euphoria cast had made aligning schedules even more difficult.
They attempted to plan a start date for the third season, particularly after Sydney Sweeney starred in and produced the hit romantic comedy Everyone But You and Jacob Elordi starred in the acclaimed thriller Saltburn.
