“As older members of Generation Z, we’ve been through a lot of bad times,” she said.
‘I mean, my first day of kindergarten was September 11. We were the guinea pigs for the Internet: You’re 11 years old and the entire world’s darkness is contained in your computer and you’re browsing through it.

“In the years since Trump was elected, I’ve noticed how popular certain very, very hateful beliefs are,” he said.
“It is a disservice to oneself to think that everyone thinks like one. It is more evident now than ever in my life that I live in a different world than many people.
We think we’re the best country, we think we’re perfect, we think we’re the land of the free, but at our core we’re not. We’re disillusioned with the country.
“I think that’s where Gen Z is affected by a lot of the anxiety, sadness and mental neurosis. We haven’t yet addressed this problem.”
In the interview, Barbie also talked about her role in the new film Unpregnant, a comedy about abortion.
“Normalizing abortion is what we have to do,” she said.
“Society puts pressure on people who have an abortion to feel guilty, ashamed and very emotional. Most people just feel relieved.”
