Euan Blair buys a West London townhouse for £22m

Tony Blair’s son Euan buys £22m London mansion: 38-year-old millionaire businessman buys a five-story townhouse with an underground swimming pool, 50-foot-long reception room and a elevator for CARS that leaves even the luxurious properties of its parents in the shade

  • Euan Blair has bought a five-storey terraced house in London with an iceberg-like basement
  • Massive seven-bedroom West London property also has a pool
  • It started out as two decent sized townhouses until it was drastically changed
  • A source close to the son of the former prime minister said that the house has a mortgage

He was thrown onto the property’s ladder as a student by his parents.

Now 38, Euan Blair has not only surpassed his father Sir Tony’s multimillion-dollar fortune through his own £700m business, but he’s also gotten himself a much bigger house.

He bought and moved into a five-storey terraced house in West London that cost £22m. It has an ‘iceberg basement’ with a swimming pool.

Euan created his business, Multiverse, with a merchant banking friend in 2016, and is now the primary owner, holding up to half of the shares. The company is paid by top-tier firms to recruit and train apprentices in the technology field.

Venture capital investors last year gave chief executive Euan the go-ahead to sell a portion of his shares, worth up to £320m in total, to buy a house.

The grand façade of his seven-bedroom home, originally two terraced properties but long joined, is really the tip of the iceberg.

The two-storey basement has an indoor pool and gym among numerous facilities. A car lift transports cars to the underground garage. Upstairs, a 50ft long double height reception room on the ground floor has a galleried landing leading to the bedrooms.

Former Prime Minister Sir Tony has an impressive real estate empire, with his five-storey Georgian terraced house in London believed to be worth around £10 million, as is his Grade I listed manor house in Buckinghamshire.

A source close to Euan said last night: ‘It is jointly owned with his wife Suzanne, and there is a mortgage. People might be surprised that he has a house like that so young, but he’s doing a good thing, trying to grow apprenticeships.’

Euan’s famous mother, Cherie, helped him rise through the property ranks 20 years ago, when she bought a £265,000 flat, plus another to rent, for him to live in while studying ancient history at Bristol University.
