Fed up Essendon fans blasted their club on social media after the Sydney Swans defeated Ben Rutten’s side on Saturday night.
The Bombers have suffered a poor start to the season, but fans were optimistic ahead of the SCG clash, having picked up a morale-boosting win over Hawthorn last weekend.
However, Essendon just didn’t show up in NSW, with Buddy Franklin making a riot as the Swans sealed a big 58-point win.
Essendon fans have taken to Twitter to criticize their team after their latest loss.
A fed up fan made his views very clear as the cameras focused on him at the SCG.
For one disgruntled fan, the bloodbath was too much and he was seen swinging the double bird as broadcast cameras panned the crowd midway through Saturday’s game.
Other fans took to Twitter to vent their fury at the Bombers, whose miserable record is two wins and seven losses.
‘Drop the whole team and bring the ressies for a bit,’ one fan raged. ‘I’ll probably do a lot better than the 1 anyway.’
“The problem with bottoming out is that until you decide enough is enough, you keep going down,” said another angry supporter.

I really like Rutten but [I don’t know] What else could be the problem? The players are not playing for him, we have the talent.’
’25 years supporting this club. Love for it. I haven’t gotten much back. Until the players are committed, it’s very difficult for the fans to be.”
Another fan had a direct message for Essendon boss Paul Brasher.
‘Paul Brasher if you’re reading this. This club requires an external review partner. It’s just not good enough.’
