Escaped convict Danelo Cavalcante was spotted inside a property in Pennsylvania trying to intimidate the landlord who immediately called authorities.
The Brazilian criminal, 34, escaped from Chester County maximum security prison on Thursday morning and was last spotted in Longwood Gardens, Pennsylvania on Monday evening.
Authorities confirmed the FBI was assisting Pennsylvania State Police in the manhunt for the convicted killer, as two school districts canceled classes.
Cavalcante was sentenced to life two weeks ago for the April 2021 murder of his ex-girlfriend Débora Brandao, 34, a mother of two.
He was spotted at a home in Pocopson Township on Friday, where he “turned on the lights” at the owner’s house before stealing groceries.

Ryan Drummond claims he saw Cavalcante inside his house on Friday night flipping the switch repeatedly after hearing a “rustling” sound downstairs.
He said ABC6“What I decided to do was hit the light switch three, four or five times, take a break, and then he flipped a light switch from downstairs. It was time to say, “Oh my God, that guy is over there.
“I saw him come out of the kitchen through our living room, open that door and (and) walk out.” He wore a white shirt and had a bag.
“Peaches, apples, snow peas were missing. We have a bunch of small steak knives and he could have taken one.
Two Pennsylvania school districts closed Tuesday following the sighting, with a reverse 911 alert being issued to anyone within a three-mile radius.
Unionville-Chadds Ford School District and Kennett Consolidated School District have canceled classes and will remain in contact with authorities.
The Kennett Consolidated School District said in a statement, “We were advised early this morning by law enforcement that the search situation has evolved and, as a precaution, schools and offices will be closed today. .”
Lt. Col. George Bevins, deputy commissioner of operations for the Pennsylvania State Police, confirmed that Cavalcante was filmed Monday night.
He was seen wearing a white t-shirt, with Bevins confirming he was in the Longwood Gardens area, heading north at 8:21 p.m. and south at the same location at 9:33 p.m.
“He didn’t change his appearance but acquired a backpack, a duffel bag and a hooded sweatshirt,” Bevins added.
Authorities confirmed sending a reverse 911 to residents within a 1.5-mile area of the camera that captured Cavalcante at 5 a.m., and a second within a 3-mile radius at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
State police confirmed they launched a “several hour” search Monday near the town of Pocopson, but were “unable to locate him.”
Bevins confirmed that the FBI has now joined the manhunt for the convicted killer.
Police believe he was wearing prison-issued pants and shorts when he escaped on August 31.
He was spotted by a state trooper on Sunday afternoon, who pursued him but eventually lost him.
There have been four credible sightings since the breakout in the search area near the intersection of Rt. 926 and RT. 52, north on Rt. 52 to Parkersville Road, southeast to Rt. 52 to Parkersville Road, southeast to Rt. 926 and west to intersection of Rt. 926 and Rt. 52 in Pocopson Township.
Cavalcante was filmed around 1:43 a.m. Saturday in the 1,800 block of Lenape Road in Pocopson Township, about 1.5 miles from the jail.
Early Tuesday morning, law enforcement in full tactical gear sped out of the area near Rt. 926 and RT. 52, but could not locate the killer.
They are now focusing their efforts on the areas around the gem and have released new photos of the criminal.
