Erling Haaland told Manchester United that he wanted to move to Old Trafford, but only changed his mind a few weeks later.
The Norwegian was one of the most wanted strikers in Europe last month after his incredible form for Red Bull Salzburg, both domestically and in the Champions League.
He held meetings with various clubs in December, including United to determine which movement he preferred.

And according to The Athletic, 19-year-old Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward told us that he was interested in putting on the Red Devils’ sweater.
However, that never succeeded, with Haaland finally opting for a move to Borussia Dortmund, where he did well – with 11 goals in his first seven appearances.
That decision was ultimately due to United’s desire not to deal with his agent Mino Raiola, with whom the club has a constant feud.
Manchester United meanwhile turned to Odion Ighalo as a short-term solution to solve their rushing problems.
