Haaland representatives are negotiating the £ 154 million Dortmund star
According to Sports worldRaiola and Alf-Inge’s negotiating tour continues on Friday, with the pair traveling to London to hold talks with four Premier League teams.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all have long-standing interests in the Norwegian hotshot, but the report adds that Premier League champions Liverpool will also meet Raiola and Haaland Snr.
Haaland, alongside Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé, is currently the most popular player in world football, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly looking for a fee of £ 154 million to win their top asset from the club.
According to Mundo Deportivo, four Premier League teams will meet Raiola and Alf-Inge
Manchester rivals City and United are both big admirers of the 20-year-old sensation
The 20-year-old has made a sensational impression since joining RB Salzburg in January 2020, scoring 49 goals in 49 games for the Bundesliga side.
Raiola, who also represents Paul Pogba, Matthijs de Ligt and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, admitted this week that he had been ‘too careful’ with Haaland after his astronomical ascent.
“Everyone was wrong with Haaland,” Raiola told The Athletic. He did things a lot faster than anyone imagined.
‘Haaland is ahead of its own development. He is ahead of his own schedule. Maybe I was too careful when I said, “Oh no, let’s move to Dortmund instead of I-don’t-know-where.”
Representatives from Liverpool and Chelsea will also meet Haaland Snr and Raiola when they arrive
‘This guy – I am 100 percent convinced and everyone is convinced – can move to any club, wherever he wants, even at this level.
And he could have done that last year. But maybe there were still teams last year [saying], “oh, he was in Red Bull, can he do it in another club?” He is faster than his own prediction. So yes, Haaland is the talk of the town. ‘
City are considered the front runners to bring in the Norwegian talent this summer transfer stint, with Alf-Inge previously playing for the club over a three-year spell. Raiola has endured a troubled relationship with City boss Pep Guardiola, but insisted the couple’s relationship should not hinder a move.
United had long admired Haaland and were linked to the Dortmund star before moving to Germany. Previous negotiations between United and Haaland’s representatives collapsed after the Premier League giants refused to comply with their demands.
Raiola revealed this week that Haaland is ‘the talk of the town’ on his whirlwind tour
Clearly, Dortmund has agreed to give Raiola and the player’s father a significant portion of future resale value, which the hierarchy at Old Trafford did not approve.
But in December 2019, Raiola insisted it was Haaland who rejected United’s claims after the Red Devils blamed the agent for the deal’s collapse.
Barça president Laporta has a good relationship with Raiola after the deal the two men made in 2009 to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the Nou Camp.
The Norwegian forward’s agent has a much more ironic relationship with Perez as he has never moved a player to the Spanish club.
