Erik Ten Hag started a new era for Manchester United on Tuesday morning by taking his first training as a manager in his hands.

After ordering the players to arrive early in Carrington at 09:00, the Dutchman orchestrated work at the training complex on a sunny day.

Marcus Rashford was seen deep in conversation with assistant Steve McClaren and a number of protagonists such as Jadon Sancho were put to work.

After bringing in the former Ajax boss to turn his fortunes back at Old Trafford, fans will be keeping a close eye on the 52-year-old’s manner with his inherited squad.

In the short video the club posted on social media, he appeared to be comfortable in his surroundings.

The players were also seen running in line as the hard preseason transplant kicked off in earnest.

Ten Hag undoubtedly has a plan to get the best out of the individuals he has at his disposal.

Rashford, in particular, endured a disappointing campaign last season and supporters know the attacker can do much more for his youth club.
