Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and Roy Keane had an awkward exchange after their opening-day win over Fulham, with the former club captain issuing a light-hearted warning to the Dutchman.
The Red Devils began their Premier League campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham at Old Trafford.
New signing Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench to score the winner in the 87th minute, with the £36.5m striker ensuring Manchester United got off to an ideal start to the new season.
Manchester United manager Ten Hag hopes victory will kick-start a better Premier League campaign after finishing eighth last term.
Ten Hag was interviewed by Sky Sports after the match on the touchline at Old Trafford, alongside former club captains Keane and Gary Neville, as well as ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

Keane warned: “I’ll be waiting” after the Manchester United boss joked that the former club captain did not want to “spoil the vibe” following their opening-day win over Fulham.
Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates asked Keane if he had anything to add following Ten Hag’s post-match interview.
Keane responded by saying he was “just listening”, before adding:‘There’s a good vibe.’
Ten Hag quickly joked:‘Oh, you don’t want to ruin the vibe, do you?’, placing a hand on Keane’s shoulder in the middle of a light-hearted exchange.
Keane, who was a vocal critic last season amid Manchester United’s struggles, responded: “Not tonight, next week, next week.”
After Ten Hag replied “I know, thanks”, Keane ominously warned “I’ll be waiting”, before adding “Keep winning, it’s easy, it won’t be a problem”.
Ten Hag replied:‘It’s so simple’ at the end of the exchange with the former Manchester United captain turned pundit.
Manchester United fans on social media enjoyed the exchange between the pair, with one labelling Keane’s quick response to Ten Hag “epic”.

“The question is fantastic, the answer is epic,” said one fan.
“Keano loves to joke around with Eric,” wrote another, with a third saying: “It’s a great conversation. They seem to have a good relationship.”
Others noted Ten Hag’s approach to the exchange, suggesting the Manchester United boss was not “more optimistic” in response to pundits.
“Since the FA Cup, Ten Hag has been very upbeat in interviews. I love it,” said one.
“ETH are still angry with Roy over the FA Cup final post-match interview. They need to have some beers,” said another.
Ten Hag and Keane had an equally joyous but awkward exchange after Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City at the end of last season.
The Manchester United boss joked that Keane “had trouble managing a team”, referring to the Irishman’s own coaching record.
The comment appeared to be a reference to Keane’s criticism of Manchester United during a difficult season.
Ten Hag hit back at the pundits after the Wembley win, which came before the club decided to extend his contract for a further 12 months.
