Former President Donald Trump’s son has devastated the Biden administration over what he says is an immigration policy that has since been “ confused ” since his father left office.
Eric Trump claimed that ‘illegal immigration was no longer a problem’ when his father was president – despite the U.S. border with Mexico seeing a significant increase in migrants in 2019.
Eric, 37, an executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said on Fox News Sunday morning that his father regularly went to the border when he was president, falsely claiming that he “ solved the problem. ”
‘They leave a hole of 30 meters where people pour in. I mean, I just don’t understand. My father had solved this problem. Illegal immigration was no longer a problem, ”said Eric Trump.
“That’s the most humane form of immigration where you don’t have people making this dangerous journey, and it literally shows you what bad policies can do to a country.”
Eric said the system was ‘working’, ‘perfect’ and ‘fixed’ before Joe Biden took office.
Immigration analysts have long pointed out that the border wall is not much of a deterrent to migrants, as they simply use ladders or other means to climb remote parts of the barrier.
Democrats and Biden have pointed out that the US is routinely seeing an increase in the number of migrants from Central America, including under the Trump administration.
On Saturday night, Donald Trump said he plans to visit the border soon, claiming officials at the border have “ asked me to go. ”
‘A lot of people want me to do that, the Border Patrol and the people at ICE want me to be there and have asked me to go. I feel like I owe them a little bit, ”Trump told Fox News.

‘They are wonderful people who do a fantastic job. It is impossible with what they did to stay in Mexico. Now, by the way, they stay in the United States, stay in and never leave. ‘
He added: ‘Right now, thousands and thousands of people are joining. And millions of people will flow into our country. It will destroy our country. It’s a very, very dangerous situation. ‘
Trump also called the abolition of the Migrant Protection Protocol a “very bad decision” and criticized Biden for reversing his “Stay in Mexico” policy.
‘Millions of people will flow into our country. It is a very dangerous situation. I would like not to be involved. Someone else should. ‘
On Saturday evening, Trump claimed that the United States will soon see “millions of people pouring into our country,” as he called it a “very dangerous situation.”
Trump also praised his relationship with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and condemned Biden for ending it.
“We had a great process with the President of Mexico, a great guy and a friend of mine. It was a strong process. To be honest, they didn’t come to Mexico, ”Trump said.
“By the time we started it, they couldn’t get to Mexico’s southern border because they knew they couldn’t get into the United States.”
Trump also said Mexico had 28,000 soldiers preventing people from entering the United States, before praising its signature border wall.
Trump last visited the border during his final weeks in office when he traveled to Alamo, Texas, to celebrate the completion of more than 450 miles of his border wall.

‘We’ve already paid for it. The contracts have been completed. The wall should now be ready. He almost stopped it on his first day, ” Trump said.
Trump said the wall is “ new ” and “ top of the line, ” addressing Democrats’ criticism that fences already existed on the southern border.
‘They like to say it’s a renovated wall. We have built a new wall. They like to say it’s a renovation, ”Trump said.
“It’s technologically advanced with the wires, and we’re ready for drones. We are connected to everything. This is great stuff. And they covered the construction. So we have a few open spaces. ‘
Trump said the Biden administration is filling those gaps with Border Patrol agents, but claimed it wouldn’t be necessary with the completed wall.
Migrants arriving from Mexico are facing roadside state forces and border guards after being apprehended in a vehicle in the border town of Rio Grande on Saturday.
‘You don’t even have to do that. They must finish the wall immediately. The policy for residency in Mexico must be reintroduced. That is not so easy anymore. Now Mexico is mad at us. The other countries don’t respect us, ”Trump said.
Trump condemned the Biden administration for letting the unaccompanied children who migrated live in misery and not insist on documenting the situation.
‘You have to see those miserable children and frankly people who have entered the country when you look at what is happening. The filth and filth of those places. That’s why they don’t let the press in, ”Trump said.
Since Biden’s introduction, the United States has seen an unprecedented wave of migrants at the border as the number of unaccompanied children is on track to exceed the number as of May 2019.
‘If I were, the press would go crazy. It is a very dangerous situation. It’s terrible for our country. ‘
Since Biden’s inauguration, the United States has seen an unprecedented wave of migrants at the border as the number of unaccompanied children is on track to exceed the number as of May 2019.
U.S. border agents carried out 100,441 arrests or expulsions of migrants at the border with Mexico in February – the highest monthly total since a 2019 border crisis, U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently said.
President Joe Biden claimed on Wednesday that a “wave” of migrants began on the southern border during the Trump administration.
Biden also blamed Trump for scrapping a $ 700 million foreign aid program that would have prevented the migration wave by strengthening the economies of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.
