EPHRAIM HARDCASTLE: Prince Harry was not impressed. Prince Andrew attended a special service marking one year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, according to a source.
Difficult times at St. George’s Chapel when Prince Harry came to pay tribute to his grandmother a year after her death.
A source says that during his visit, Harry discovered that a special service attended by Prince Edward and Prince Andrew was planned for a few hours later.
Apparently, Harry has not been impressed by the confirmation that his exiled compatriot Andrew, who he attacked in his autobiography, Spare, over the Virginia Giuffre imbroglio, is being brought in from the cold.
His presence has not been made public, but he is now a fixture at family events, having reluctantly accepted that he will not return to a busy royal life.
Harry, says the source, left St George’s “wearing his best scowl”.

An upcoming BBC2 documentary on Coco Chanel, pictured in her prime, reveals she boycotted the 1969 Alan Jay Lerner/Andrew Previn Broadway musical about her life while it starred “the old one” – Katharine Hepburn (62 at the time) – rather than her choice – Audrey Hepburn (then 40). The fussy fashion designer, who died in 1971, was 85 years old at the time!
With qualifying for Euro 2024 underway, King Charles is yet to name a replacement for his late mother as patron of the English, Welsh and Scottish football associations as well as the army, Royal Navy and RAF.
He did, however, become boss of the Australian Football League in Europe, promoting Australian rules football (which, to the untrained eye, appears to have no rules).
Gaffe-prone Labor veteran Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, eagerly tweets: “Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones launch new album in Hackney itself. Where else?’
Does Diane really approve of the title of the band’s new album, Hackney Diamonds? It’s an old East London slang term referring to a broken car window after a robbery.

Dame Joan Collins, clearing her throat for her latest one-woman show, Behind The Shoulder Pads, reveals her modest behind-the-scenes demands.
“My date in the dressing room is just coffee, water and a bottle of wine to share with my company after the show,” she says. Would it be a Methuselah or a Shalmanazar, Joanie?
Chris Tarrant recalls a booze-fuelled 2am session at Lord’s Taverners at the Savoy with the late Terry Wogan, when both had early morning radio shows.
He said the only consolation while suffering a hangover on Capital was that, on BBC Radio 2, “a much older Irishman would feel worse”.
Meeting Terry three weeks later, Tarrant asked him how he was the next morning. ‘Terrible. I got up around noon,” replied Tel. “I was like ‘Twelve?'” Tarrant said, “You had to do the radio at 6:30 in the morning” and he said “Oh no, I didn’t tell you.” I had a week off.
