In a Channel 5 documentary, Arbiter blames security failures for long lens photographs taken from a public road on the property of the future Lord Snowdon.
The photographs were published around the world, although not in Britain. William successfully sued and obtained substantial damages.
In the two-part film called Kate, Arbiter states: “You don’t expect to be photographed on private property, but if you can be seen from a public vantage point, it’s a bit self-inflicted!”
