“I decided to go to local businesses and tell them to be on Facebook – again I was turned down so many times that I was told ‘Facebook is for kids’ which is kind of ironic when I look back,’ he wrote on his website.
He eventually got two clients and founded Social Media Mansion – one of the first social media marketing agencies in Australia.
“I was learning by doing and I wasn’t an expert – I was just doing something no one else was doing, and slowly and surely companies were realizing they needed social media,” he said.
As his customer base grew, Mr. Maguire saw gaps in the market.
He found that he didn’t like posting social media content at all hours of the day because there were no planning tools, so he started looking for a solution.
“Here I had my ‘ah-ha’ moment,” he wrote.
“When I faced this problem, there were undoubtedly many others. So I decided to see how I could make software solutions for that. ‘

In 2015, the Instagram planning tool Instamate was launched and made $ 1 million in the first week.
“It was a great number and I never thought I would earn it in my life – it was a major turning point and quickly opened my mind to what was possible online,” Mr. Maguire told the publication.
He developed a series of additional online solution packages and made millions in his twenties.
Mr. Maguire, who is now 30, makes $ 5 million a year – a figure that will rise to $ 8 million this year.
He has now traveled the world at major corporate events.
