Two glamorous English backpackers looking for a room to rent were inundated with a series of scary offers.
Stevie Davies and her friend put an appeal for a vacant room in a Facebook group in the hope of finding a place in Sydney’s upscale eastern suburbs.
Ms Davies shared a number of photos from a trip to Bali showing the couple dressed in summer outfits and pouting.
“We are looking to share a room – anywhere in Zetland, Bondi, Randwick, Coogee etc,” the post read.

Ms Davies quoted a guide price of £600, or A$1,156.
The price is well within the rental price range in Sydney, with the average cost being $700 per week.
The social media post immediately attracted a number of worrying offers from men, including one offering to share their bed.
“I’m going to evict my girlfriend, when would you ladies like to move in?” » another wrote.
A third added: “Do you still have that room with the peephole?
One suggested he would return to the area simply to live with the two women.
“We’re going to have to convert the front room into a dorm,” wrote a second.

Other social media users ridiculed the situation, joking residents should not rent their rooms to them.
