New Zealand have it all to do in their fourth T20 international against England after Eoin Morgan’s men smashed an incredible 241 for three wickets in the first innings.

It marked England’s highest-ever T20 total with captain Morgan and Dawid Malan starring with the bat in Napier on Friday. 

Malan posted a remarkable innings of 103 not out off just 51 balls, while Morgan smashed 91 off 41 – with the pair putting on a partnership of 182 off just 12.2 overs, England’s highest ever T20 partnership.

Malan’s century was the fastest ever by an England player as he toyed with New Zealand’s bowling attack on Friday.  

At the halfway stage of the innings, England had posted a steady score of 88 for two before putting on a rapid 153 runs in the final 10 overs.

Morgan was eventually caught on the boundary for 91 at deep extra by Daryl Mitchell off the bowling of Tim Southee in the final over. 

Morgan, who deserved a century for his brilliant efforts, and his England side made the most of the short boundaries in Napier.
