Engineering giant John Wood Group rowed back from a ‘no jab, no job’ policy – requiring employees to receive Covid vaccinations.
The company, which provides consultancy and engineering services to the oil industry, introduced a mandatory vaccine policy in November.
However, the policy is now under review.

A spokesperson told The Mail on Sunday: ‘We now think more emphasis on a range of control measures may be more appropriate.
“While we promote control measures such as vaccines, testing and working from home, we also recognize that all colleagues have a choice: the decision whether or not to vaccinate is up to each individual.”
Only a few major UK companies have adopted a ‘no jab, no job’ policy, including miner Anglo American and cruise lines Tui and Carnival.
The MoS revealed last week that retail chain Ikea had cut health costs for out-of-pocket workers who had been forced to self-isolate.
