A New Jersey woman was surprised to see what her work’s human resources department wrote in an email about an upcoming retreat in Paris.

The woman, known as @co.letter on TikTok, revealed in a video she posted on February 23 that HR asked all of the company’s employees to share a room and a bed.

According to the surprised employee, Human Resources wrote in the email: “In the survey you will notice that you have the option to share a room with a colleague; please note that in the current state of the reservation, there is only one bed in the room “.

“I had to read the email like three times,” he said.

The TikToker added that the human resources department has allowed all employees not to answer the question if they prefer.

The Cornell University graduate did not clarify where she works, but she did publish a tiktok video in December from a previous corporate retreat in the French Alps.

However, based on the corporate worker’s face in her recent video, that idea may not have applied to her previous trip.

“That was an option…suggested, encouraged: HR was like writing that, sending it and drinking your glass of wine,” he said of his upcoming retirement.

The TikToker went on to talk about the human resources department and that members are “bored or want to save money.”

She believes that the experience of sharing accommodation with a friend during the trip to Paris would also make a good ‘book’.

“I hope this video ends up on an author’s page and then they can Facetime me after I go on this trip,” he said.

“I didn’t know this was possible even in a corporate environment.”

Other TikTok users have shared their opinions on the matter and one person even thought the suggestion “seems illegal.”

“Yes, I knew someone who had to share a room and his co-worker brought someone over to his house in Pound Town,” they wrote.

Others have written that they would never share a room with a coworker, even if it was their “best friend from work.”

@co.letter responded to one of the comments and revealed that several employees of the company have left.

“Several people at my company end up dating and WE WONDER WHY: HR loves a good rom-com,” she wrote.
