Patti Newton has documented the emotional moment she posed with a wax figure of her late husband Bert Newton, two years after his death.
The 79-year-old stopped by Madame Tussauds in Sydney with two of her grandchildren on Tuesday and shared a video of them posing with Bert’s eerily lifelike figure.
“Seeing my dear Bert at Madame Tussaud’s Sydney was overwhelming and very emotional for us all,” she began her caption.
“It looked wonderful and we loved seeing it. Xx’.
Patti’s fans were delighted by the touching display, with one commenting: “This is the best!!! What a tribute to an incredibly talented man!

‘How wonderful for you and your family, Patti,’ another wrote, while someone added: ‘Wonderful! I can only imagine how overwhelmed you would be!’
It comes after the veteran actress revealed the touching memento she always takes to the stage to remember her late husband, to whom she was married for 46 years before his death in 2021.
Speaking to WhatsNew2Day Australia in January, Patti said she always wears a diamond-encrusted necklace in honor of her beloved husband.

“It’s a bit secret, but [it says] Bert, and he travels with me everywhere,” she said, showing off the statement piece tucked into the collar of her dress.
‘I love it. I feel like he is with me. I have quite a few things that belonged to Bert.
“He will always be a part of me,” she added.

Bert passed away in October 2021.
He had been receiving palliative care at a Melbourne clinic at the time of his death.
Bert was hospitalized in March of that year and underwent surgery on his leg in May after his toe became infected before Christmas.

The infection was “linked to his diabetes” and was life-threatening, and doctors told him the surgery was a “life or death decision.”
Doctors told Bert that if he kept his leg, he would only have “months to live” instead of years if he decided to amputate it.
He is survived by his children Matt and Lauren, and his grandchildren Sam, Eva, Lola, Monty, Perla and Alby.
