A newlywed broke down in tears after her mother’s touching surprise was sewn into her wedding dress after her father’s sudden death.
Natalie Crockett Jimenez, 25, was having her dress adjusted by her mother, Devona, when she was told to look at the bottom of her dress.
A blue heart was sewn into the dress with the words “I love you Natalie, Dad” and the Missouri pharmacist immediately recognized it as her late father’s handwriting and burst into tears for 30 minutes.
Natalie’s father, Bruce, died of a sudden blood clot in 2015, and Devona had found his note in her daughter’s yearbook and scanned it.

Her mother, Devona, scanned her handwriting and sewed it into the dress. The text says: “I love you Natalie, Dad” inside a blue heart.

Natalie’s father, Bruce, died of a sudden blood clot in 2015, and Devona had found his note in her daughter’s yearbook and scanned it.
She then cut a blue heart out of her T-shirt and took it to her daughter’s seamstress to create an extremely sweet gift ahead of her Aug. 12 wedding.

Previously, Natalie had searched for her father’s handwriting for years and had forgotten this note.
She was overcome with emotion and thanked her mother for this touching gesture.
“It was the hardest for her to lose my dad and she was the one who picked it up and put it all back together, so none of this would be possible without her, and I love her so much,” Natalie said. Hello America recently.

Natalie’s followers also expressed their admiration at the emotional surprise.

Devona cut a blue heart out of her husband’s old T-shirt and took the appliqué to her daughter’s seamstress to create a bright surprise for her special day.

But the blue heart wasn’t the only tribute Natalie had for her big day in memory of her father.
She also carried the locket he gave her, a white balloon, a slideshow of photos from the wedding reception and a symbolic place card of the bride’s father at the table.
