Emmys 2019: the complete list of winners

The Television Academy paid for its last adieu Game of Thrones tonight, in honor of the cast with a standing ovation – but not necessarily in awards.

Game of Thrones & # 39; last season was practically excluded during the broadcast of the most important Emmy. The show won the prize for the best drama series and Peter Dinklage won the prize for best supporting role in a drama for his role as Tyrion Lannister. Those two wins in tonight's broadcast, combined with the 10 prizes from the show that was won last week at the Creative Arts Emmy, resources Game of Thrones binds his previous record for most wins for a single season of television. The show previously won 12 prizes for the fifth season in 2015, setting a new record.

The lack of prizes may not be that surprising for fans, given the responses to the eighth and final season of the show. Many critics were largely impressed and some of the fans were disappointed. Still, welcoming the cast to the stage and standing for the actors involved in the popular HBO series was a heart-warming expression of support and celebration for the series.

Still it was a great evening for HBO. The network has won prizes for some of its most popular shows Game of Thrones; Barry and succession took home top-class prizes, including Bill Hader's win for Best Actor in a Comedy series for his work in Barry. Jesse Armstrong took Emmy gold home to write on succession, one of the most recent popular series from HBO.

Amazon also praised a super evening, which led to the number of wins for a streaming service. The company won a number of prizes for favorite shows such as The wonderful Mrs. Maisel, and newcomer series for Amazon Prime Video (through a partnership with BBC) Fleabag. sleeping bag has won a number of prizes, including Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy for Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The actress also received a prize for her writing about the pilot of the show. Netflix did not have a great night compared to previous years, but still managed to take home some trophies for shows When they see us and Ozark.

The full list of Emmy winners can be read below. The winners of each category are printed in bold.
