Emmy Rossum welcomed a second child with husband, 45-year-old Sam Esmail, Thursday morning.
The star let her Instagram followers know that they now have a baby boy. “On a foggy Wednesday morning, our son was born,” was all the brunette beauty captioned.
There was also a close-up of the newborn’s face.
The Shameless 36-year-old actress – who didn’t look pregnant when she was spotted at Disneyland in December – also shared that she carried the baby herself as she posted a picture of the bump.
Her pregnancy was a well-kept secret as she was never seen with a baby bulge and there were no rumors she was expecting.
Amy and Sam already have a two-year-old daughter, Samantha.

In her new post on Thursday, Amy shared a photo of a black-and-white card with her newborn son’s footprint on it as well as some information.
He was born on April 5 at 10:40 am weighing 6lbs 14oz. He was 19.5 inches tall at the time of birth.
There was also a picture of her naked baby bumping up her striped shirt to show off her large midsection, proving that she carried the baby herself.
Her fans seemed really shocked that Amy secretly gave birth to a second child.
“The fact that none of us knew she was pregnant again – she’s so good at hiding it – congratulations Amy,” one fan wrote in the comments section.
Another said: Oh my God!!! You are really good at surprises!!! Congratulations lol.
Another follower said she found Amy’s desire for privacy “refreshing”.

Rossum also kept her first pregnancy a secret. The actress made the surprise announcement via Instagram in late May 2021.
In an accompanying caption, the singer, which included two glowing pregnancy shots and a photo of her baby footprint, wrote: “5.24.21 On a sunny Monday morning, 8:13am, we welcomed our daughter into the world,”

The star’s Instagram slideshow opened to a black and white photo of her showing off her baby bump in a white sports bra and a pair of non-woven jeans.
She stood with her hands in her pockets, as she stared stoically at the camera, her brown hair partly wavy across her face.
The second shot showed Ismail standing behind Rossum with his hands on her stomach as she placed one hand tenderly on his shoulder.
Although the couple didn’t share a photo of their newborn, Amy did give her followers a sneak peek at her little girl’s imprint in the final segment of her slideshow.

Hint: But then the movie star used her large ivory bag to cover her midsection even though the baby bump wasn’t visible.
Just over half an hour later, she’s back on Instagram to share another pregnancy snap taken inside her and Esmail’s home.
“Two weeks before our daughter was born,” she revealed in the photo’s caption, posing in front of the window with her bump exposed.
Amy never announced that she was expecting a child, which caused many fans and followers to react in shock to the announcement of her birth.
The Phantom Of The Opera actress married Mr. Robot in 2017, nearly seven years after her brief marriage to music executive Justin Segel from 2008 to 2010.
