Emmy Rossum shares first photo of baby who ‘now has antibodies’ and tells fans to get vaccinated

Emmy Rossum shared the first photo of her daughter Samantha along with a message for her fans.

In the image posted by the 34-year-old Shameless star on Sunday, she was seen cradling her newborn baby against her shoulder and gently kissing her head.

“When I was pregnant I was vaccinated,” Emmy revealed in the caption.

“Not only did we have a healthy, beautiful girl, but we just learned that our daughter now has antibodies,” she continued.

“In short, stop being an irresponsible idiot and get vaccinated.” Emmy’s message comes as the number of COVID-19 cases in the United States is on the rise and only 48.9% of the population is vaccinated.

In the sweet snap, the new mom was dressed in a bright blue t-shirt with her dark brown hair in a braided twist as she posed with her first child against a concrete wall.

In the comments, one Twitter user asked, “My wife did the same! How did you test your child for antibodies? Ours is 2 months old and we would like to have her tested.’

Emmy replied, “A simple blood draw from the doctor.”

Though the couple didn’t share a photo of their newborn at the time, Emmy gave her followers a peek at her daughter’s tiny footprint in the last part of her slideshow.

On Father’s Day, the star posted a sweet tribute to Esmail with a black and white photo showing her baby bump. “Happy Father’s Day to the man who made my favorite human,” she wrote in the caption.

Emmy had never announced that she and her husband were expecting a four-year-old child, causing many fans and followers to react with shock to her birth announcement.
