Emmerdale has revealed the victim of a gruesome bus crash when evil Paul Ashdale met his creator after months of terrorizing his son Vinny.

Crushed by the debris from Jimmy’s van crashing into the shed, Paul died in a hospital bed after being caught in a terrifying explosion, leaving his fiancé Mandy Dingle utterly distraught.

Speaking after his exit scenes, actor Reece Dinsdale admitted it was ‘hard’ to top his exit from Coronation Street with his farewell scenes from the Dales, but bosses managed to pull off this nasty feat with their first socially detached stunt.

After being trapped in the barn, Paul was killed when a tank of gas exploded and the whole site burned up, despite fears that Liv Flaherty (played by Isobel Steele) or Jimmy King (Nick Miles) could fall victim to the disaster.

It was an exit that no doubt delighted viewers after Paul abused his own son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) for months to keep his dark past a secret, and even tried to silence his girlfriend Liv before the crash ended. are bad manners.

After his departure, Reece said he was happy that his exit scenes had finally aired as he had made an effort to keep the storyline a secret.

He said, ‘I’m excited if I’m honest. It was extremely difficult to do dozens of press, TV and radio interviews in the past month while trying not to let the cat out of the bag. Relief!’

The soap star also praised soap bosses for being able to top his Coronation Street turn in 2010, when his character Joe McIntyre drowned in a lake after failing to falsify his death to claim life insurance.

He added: ‘Absolutely. I thought it might be difficult to get out over Corrie, where I drowned in Lake Windermere … but maybe we did! I would say it is much better than taking a taxi. ‘

The dramatic explosion was Emmerdale’s first major stunt since the start of the Covid pandemic, with all cast members sticking to social distance guidelines while filming.

Thinking about the filming, Reece said, “It was meticulous, both in terms of the attention to detail and safety, and always adhering to Covid rules.

‘But it was also a lot of fun. More than a typical day at the office! ‘

But despite his character’s departure, Reece confirmed that he will not be going far from the village of Emmerdale as he will be working on the soap as a director.

Discussing his last day on set, Reece said, “It was filmed in sequence for once and it was my death day in the hospital.

‘It was very moving … and nice things were said to me that will stay with me forever. What a fantastic big family the Emmerdale team is! ‘

Fans had been waiting to see Paul get what he deserved after months of terrifying son Vinny, and he was finally confronted by Liv about his behavior minutes before the crash.

The turn of events terrified many viewers that Vinny might die next to his father, flooding Twitter with messages demanding that the teen survive.

One wrote, “There will be no second death because I was so stressed about the thought of Liv or Vinny dying.”
