Emmerdale star Michael Parr revealed he was hospitalized after falling ill and spending four days in a hotel room hallucinating.
Actor Ross Barton, 38, said he was rushed to hospital with suspected Legionnaires’ disease while working in India for a Bollywood production.
He was found by a colleague in his hotel room after having been delirious and hallucinating for days, during which his health rapidly deteriorated.
Mike told the Mirror: ‘I lost about 20 pounds in four days and my cheekbones started to stand out.
“I had been in my room hallucinating for four days. I didn’t know what was happening. I was delirious. I’m a big chess player and I was so off my game that I kept thinking I was a chess piece.
Doctors treated him for severe dehydration and initially gave him electrolytes, which unfortunately made him feel worse before finally putting him on a drip.

He added: “It’s always scary to be hospitalized in a foreign country, especially when you can’t communicate with the doctors.”
It comes after it was revealed that Michael will return to Emmerdale, six years after the actor left the role.
The star, who first joined the soap in 2013, became a fan favorite for his portrayal of the complex but charismatic Ross.
The actor said he was ‘bored’ just two months after leaving in 2018 due to being out of work, but will reappear on screen later this year.
Ross’s return is said to have a huge impact, immediately throwing the town into chaos with his “wild and reckless behavior.”
His departure came after a horrific acid attack that left him battling depression, and early footage of his return shows him scarred years later.
During his time on the show, Ross was known for his tumultuous relationships with Donna Windsor and Debbie Dingle.
Their first relationship sadly culminated in Donna’s suicide, when she fell with criminal Gary North from the roof of a parking lot. Having truly loved Donna, Ross was absolutely devastated by her death.
It comes after it was revealed that Michael will return to Emmerdale, six years after the actor left the role (pictured this year).

Ross later began a secret affair with Debbie, who was engaged to his brother Pete.
This ended when it was revealed that Ross had a one-night stand with Debbie’s mother, Charity, and conceived baby Moses.
Ross was also involved in many dangerous schemes, including a plot to kill his brother Pete, but is best remembered for the harrowing story that saw him battle depression during his recovery from a devastating acid attack.
On his return, Michael said: “I’m delighted to be returning to Emmerdale. Ross is a character I’m very fond of and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to for the last five years.
‘After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what awaits us. One thing I can say is that Ross’ return will certainly set off fireworks.

Michael made his final appearance on Emmerdale as Ross Barton on 2 November 2018 and admitted just weeks after his final episode aired that he was “bored” after being out of work for two months.

He tweeted: ‘I know there are many factors why people can’t or don’t work, but in my experience of not having a job that has already lasted almost two months… it’s boring. Very boring. There are many things to do! (sic)’
Michael left the soap after reportedly growing tired of his character Ross Barton’s dark stories.
He confirmed his departure from the ITV show on Twitter after five years in the role, a source told him. the sun it was due to exhaustion from the daily hours in the makeup chair as part of the acid attack story.
His stories included the shooting of Robert Sugden, almost being murdered by his brother Pete, and in his final months on the show being the victim of a horrific acid attack.
Michael confirmed the news that he was leaving the soap, saying: “Yes, I will be leaving the soap soon.” I’ve had the best years in Emmerdale, but it’s time to move on and explore other avenues. Although if I win the soap opera award I might stay.
However, a source said the sun at the time when Michael decided to leave the show because he was unhappy with the choice of story lines, as well as the hours he would spend applying makeup to recreate the scars caused by an acid attack.
They said: ‘Mike has told anyone who will listen how much he hated his stories and what the bosses had done to his character.
“He especially hated the makeup he had to wear for the acid attack story. He’s been fed up for a long time and finally told his bosses he’s leaving.
