“She’s hiding something!” Emmerdale fans are convinced there’s more than meets the eye with Charles’ mum Claudette when she confesses she’s homeless after lying about back injury
Emmerdale viewers were very suspicious of Charles Anderson’s mother Claudette when she finally confessed her devious lies about her back pain.
Claudette (Flo Wilson) stayed at the house of her Reverend son Charles (Kevin Mathurin), where her family adored her after she complained that she could barely move due to an injured back.
After Charles’ GP partner, Dr Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) checked on her, she became convinced that Claudette was not telling the truth, and on Tuesday’s episode caught Claudette in the act when she walked in during her dancing with a jar of biscuits in the kitchen.
When Charles returned home, Manpreet unleashed the truth, prompting Claudette to lie further and convince him that it was in fact Manpreet telling tall tales, only for her to break down and eventually tell her son that she was in was basically homeless and had nowhere to go. when he asked her to leave.
Viewers weren’t so convinced and took to Twitter to insist there was more to Claudette than meets the eye.

One person asked, “Is Claudette telling the whole story?” Is she hiding something?’
While someone else insisted, “Charles’ mom has literally proven her to be a liar, so she better provide proof.” The moment she tried that no more questions bull, she ended up out on the road before she finished the sentence.’
“Don’t listen to her Charles, your mother is talking nonsense,” another soap fan exclaimed.
While someone else posted, “Ohooh has Claudette been a naughty old biddy. Was she kicked out of her house for meanness? Did she gamble it away? These & others reply to your next episode of……’
Another unconvinced audience member at home wrote, “You must lie to your son before he raises you? Your son is a minister.’
Another shared, “Claudette has lost her home, but she is being mean to Manpreet. That’s no way to live in Charles’ house.’
“Telling lies all the time. Nothing changes with the new or old characters,” another viewer commented.
Claudette first arrived in the village last week to visit Charles, but found an excuse to stay when her back started to hurt.

She was milking her injury while Charles and his daughter Naomi Walters (Karene Peter) ran around to fulfill her every wish.
However, Claudette was caught on Tuesday after going out to meet some hobnobs and was caught dancing with the cookie jar in the kitchen by Manpreet.
Manpreet was left seething, even questioning her own sanity when Claudette accused her of being the liar, while Charles wasn’t sure who to believe.
But Claudette eventually broke down and admitted she was homeless, insisting to Charles that she had nowhere to go.

She explained, “I lied on my back so I could stay longer because I lost my house.
“I thought this was the only way Charles would let me stay with him. No more questions, please!’
While Charles was left stunned, he insisted she had nothing to worry about as she had a roof over her head while staying with him.
Emmerdale airs earlier this week than its usual 7pm slot on ITV1 and ITVX.
