Cruella promises the ‘story won’t be so black and white’ as Emma Stone goes from mouse-like assistant to posh villain in new teaser

Disney has offered a devilishly good new teaser for their Cruella movie.

The 30-second origin story promo follows the rise of villainess from a humble servant to a high fashion criminal.

Actress Emma Stone just looks sinister rocking the 101 Dalmatians’ signature two-toned locks as the catchphrase, ‘Her story isn’t that black and white’ flashes on the screen.

Devilishly Good: Emma Stone caught the eye in a brand new teaser for the upcoming Cruella movie, due out on May 28

Cruella follows the character mission in revenge on her former boss Baroness von Hellman, played by Emma Thompson.

“So what’s your story?” a little boy asks at the beginning of the clip, while images of orphan Estella de Vil flicker between now and childhood.

Working her way from maid to mouse-like fashion assistant, the antihero devises a plan to return to the Baroness for all her years of abuse.

Then Cruella goes out on her own and creates a new identity with her punk-chic makeover.

Barely hiding her disdain, Stone’s character ‘Cruella’ snarls back before the teaser comes to a close.

Last year, Emma talked about the storyline, which takes place before Glenn Close’s portrayal of 101 Dalmatians in the 1996 version.

It’s pretty trippy. It’s wild, ‘she said of her role before adding that she’s walking around thinking’ these are bananas’.

Cruella will be released on Disney + and select theaters on May 24.
