Emma Raducanu skips scheduled practice session throwing Wimbledon participation into doubt

Emma Raducanu is raising fears she may not be fit to participate in Wimbledon after NOT showing up for her scheduled practice session at Court 1.

Emma Raducanu failed to show up for her scheduled Wimbledon practice on Friday afternoon, raising serious doubts as to whether she will compete in the tournament.

Raducanu was supposed to hold a practice session with Spaniard Garbine Muguruza on Court 1 at 2.15pm but never showed up.

With the British No. 1 recovering from a side injury sustained at the Nottingham Open earlier this month, the missed practice could indicate Raducanu is fit enough to compete in SW19.

While the reason for Raducanu’s no-show has not been made clear, it has been suggested that she had practiced an hour earlier in the day and consequently canceled her afternoon session.

But according to journalist Stu FraserRaducanu was seen ‘downbeat’ as she walked away from the All England Club courts.
