Emily Ratajkowski, 32, from California, wore a very bold white Jacquemus dress at the Vanity Fair Oscars after party last night

When Emily Ratajkowski walked the Vanity Fair red carpet at the Oscars after party in a white Jacquemus gown, she turned heads for both her glowing beauty and the fact that she sported her most daring look yet.

The dress, described as the model’s ‘boldest look ever’ by Vogue, was a brilliant shade of white and appeared to be sculpted to her body, only just touching her silhouette without clinging for a ‘floating’ effect .

From the side angle, the model left little to the imagination and flashed a small ‘side breast’ as the bodice of the dress covered her modesty but showed the outline of her breasts.

The bodice of the Jacquemus dress was asymmetrical – and has been compared to a ‘leaning tower’ by some – drawing a sharp line just above Emily’s collarbone.

The model, who has also had acting roles in films such as Gone Girl opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, accessorized her dress with teardrop diamond earrings.

She opted for smoky eye shadow and ever-so-slightly slicked-back hair to complete the daring yet stunning look.

Her Jacquemus dress was from the French fashion house’s spring/summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection, according to Glamour.

In addition to the very daring cut, with a deep slit down to the waist that exposed Emily’s chest from the side angle, the dress boasted a cape detail with a chiffon material.

Although the daring dress mostly covered her modesty, Emily had a little ‘nip slip’ as she leaned over and the material came away from her bump, exposing her chest.

Vogue‘s analysis of the unusual dress stated, “The shape rendered Ratajkowski as a woman emerging from a cliff, bringing a sense of artistry (as well as sensuality) to the red carpet.”

It added that her choice to forego accessories apart from the teardrop earrings gave the effect of Ratajkowski ’emerging’ from the red carpet.

Speaking to Vogue last year in 2023, the My Body author opened up about her evolving sense of style.

‘I think fashion used to really scare me. I felt that there were rules that I did not understand,’ she expressed at the end.

‘Rules are meant to be broken, once you understand the rules you can have fun. I also think I generally take it less seriously than I ever did before. I’m less afraid of risk.’

The model has been busy, and earlier this week on Friday she celebrated her son Sly’s third birthday.

She shares the little one with ex-husband Sebastian Bear McClard – to whom she was married from 2018 until their split in 2022.

Ratajkowski took to her main Instagram page to share a slideshow featuring various short clips of her son taken in the past.

The beauty also wrote a sweet caption as she wished Sly a happy birthday and also stated that she was ‘lucky’ to be his mum.

‘Sly is THREE! This day three years ago I felt my beautiful baby’s soul come into the world and held him to my chest and my god – how time has flown.’

The model, who wrote My Body in 2021, which explores her relationship with her body and the concept of other people consuming it because of her modeling, recently revealed to Glamor UK that her perspective on feminism has changed.

She told the magazine that she no longer believes in optional feminism, which is an expression of feminism that emphasizes a woman’s freedom of choice.

She specifically referred to the Blurred Lines music video that propelled her onto the world stage more than ten years ago, but was met with fierce criticism due to the song’s lyrics and also the fact that models went topless in the clip.

She said: ‘I don’t (now) agree with choice feminism. When I was in my early twenties, it was something I talked about, but it’s also what I correct in the book…

‘God, I said that because I wanted to protect myself and believe in something, because the alternative was too scary and too depressing.

‘And even the story that I told myself or talked about with Blurred Lines, the kind of ‘Well, that was fun and that was empowering,’ there were moments like that, yeah. But there were moments on set that were so clear about who was in power.’

Choice feminism encourages women to embrace the opportunities they have in life and see their choices as legitimate.

Critics argue that it can lead to political stagnation because critical judgment of the actions of others is discouraged due to the potential of being labeled a “bad” feminist.

On her book My Body, Emily recalled how she was criticized by some women after the book came out, who she felt could not separate the content of the book from her public persona.

She said: ‘I think even in the experience of publishing the book, a lot of the first articles that came out were other women who took it apart in a way that I don’t actually think was fair.

‘Because it’s a collection of essays about my experience. But they couldn’t separate me as a person and even referred to recent Instagram posts in the criticism of my book.’
