Emily Ratajkowski is receiving support from her fans after being publicly body-shamed while filming a TikTok video in New York City.
In a video posted on Tuesday, the 33-year-old supermodel shared footage of the bizarre moment a man, off-camera, interrupted her walk to tell her to “put a shirt on.”
The sexist comment was made as she walked down the sidewalk wearing a grey tank top with a plunging neckline, black leggings and a gold choker.
She accessorized her laid-back look with a black shoulder bag, hoop earrings and QUAY x Guizio sunglasses.
“Wait a man tells me to put a shirt on,” the mother of one, who is rumoured to be dating singer Shaboozey, wrote alongside the video, which has been viewed 1.7 million times.

In her post, the best-selling author’s followers expressed their outrage and offered their support.
“Imagine saying that to Emily Ratajkowski,” one marveled.
Another wrote: “Saying that to EMRATA is crazy behaviour.”
“How dare you talk to a stranger like that. You should get dressed and be whoever you want to be,” commented a third.
A fourth asked: “Why wear a shirt when you literally look so good?”
The founder of swimwear brand Inamorata captioned the post: “famously immodest, famously unaware.”
He was referring to the new TikTok trend that has taken the platform by storm and was started by Jools Lebron.
Ratajkowski used Charli XCX’s hit song 365 from her latest album Brat as the theme for the video.

Previously, Ratajkowski, who wrote the book My Body, admitted to “exploiting herself” and “using her body” to achieve “fame and success”.
During a 2021 interview, the New York-based actress confessed to having “taken advantage of her sexuality” when she was younger in an attempt to gain control during an interview with CBS Mornings.
“When I was in my twenties, I thought I was just trying hard and working within the system and I was like, ‘Okay, I know what I can get by becoming a model and using my body to be famous and successful.’ I even called it empowerment,” she explained.
Emily starred in Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ music video in 2013, when she was 22, and it quickly skyrocketed her career.
In the clip, she and two other female models appear completely topless as they dance alongside Robin. She later claimed that the singer groped her on set.
She accessorized her laid-back look with a black shoulder bag, hoop earrings and a pair of QUAY x Guizio glasses (seen on Tuesday).
“I was in the Blurred Lines video, that was my breakthrough moment, and I told everyone I found it an empowering experience,” she said.
‘But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized it’s a little bit more complicated and I feel a responsibility to tell young girls that.
‘I’d be wrong to say that it’s simply empowering to capitalize on your sexuality and beauty as a woman.’
The mother of one continued: “I’m not interested in cancelling anybody. For me it was telling the truth of the whole reality of that experience. Because for a long time all I said was, ‘It was so much fun,’ which, by the way, it was, too.”

Emily explained that she liked to “use her sexuality” and “capitalize on her image” because she felt it gave her “some kind of control.”
“I don’t think exploiting myself is progress at all, I think it just offered me some kind of control. The only time I feel like I’ve experienced empowerment is through writing (My Body) and telling this story and even doing something, creating something. That feels like real power,” she said.
