Someone tell Lady Lola Bute that one of the world’s biggest music festivals is taking place around her!
The aristocratic beauty yesterday seemed much more interested in her boyfriend, Dutch model Parker Van Noord, than in any of the world stars performing on stage.
The couple were seen embracing, with the heiress sporting a modest festival look, complete with denim shorts, cowboy boots, a leopard print bikini top and sunglasses.
It was a change of style from last weekend, when the couple celebrated Lady Lola’s 25th birthday at Vogue World in Paris.
There, the model daughter of the late racing driver Johnny Dumfries dazzled in a floor-length, backless dress by Roberto Cavalli.

So much for an eco-friendly festival… guests arrive at Glasto by plane and helicopter
Celebrities flaunting their virtues is nothing new, but Glastonbury seems to be taking the cake when it comes to climate change-related hypocrisy, as it sources organic and ethical produce.
While many of the festival’s performers are keen to flaunt their green credentials, the event has a sizeable carbon footprint, further compounded by jet-setting VIPs traveling to Worthy Farm by helicopter.
The festival is partnered with Greenpeace and organizers state that the festival “does not endorse or facilitate helicopter travel except for operational purposes.” But I can reveal that traveling to the festival by plane has never been more popular.
A spokesperson for a company that provided a helicopter service for the event, Charter A, tells me: ‘It remains a very popular way of traveling to Glastonbury. We are always packed for Glastonbury and packed already in February. This year it was the same again.”
Another company, Air Charter Service, which has two helipads serving the festival, tweeted: “We’ve had a high-flying day at #Glastonbury!” With a busy day of landings at both of our Air Charter Service helipads, our team have been working hard to ensure your travel experience is unforgettable.”
A local anti-noise group reported 85 flights on Friday alone, while one resident who lives 30 miles from Worthy Farm said: “The helicopters flying over the place have been relentless today, in case anyone was wondering how environmentally friendly These are the credentials of the music industry.
Meanwhile, the super-exclusive Newt hotel in Somerset has for the first time offered a private jet runway (a former military base in Henstridge) to its Glastonbury guests, in addition to its six helipads.
This is despite the musicians touting their own green credentials.
Coldplay, who performed on the Pyramid stage last night, have announced that they have reduced the carbon footprint of their tour by more than 50 per cent. They encourage fans to help fuel their shows with dynamo bikes and kinetic dance floors.
Fellow headliner Dua Lipa has also been working to make her tours greener with measures like energy-efficient lighting.
The arrival of rock and roll
Model Vogue Williams and her husband Spencer Matthews did not arrive by helicopter, but they did arrive in the best option: a white Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII.
‘Glasto trip sorted!’ said Vogue on Instagram, posting this photo of Spencer and a friend with the car.
It comes with a champagne chiller as standard, no use to teetotaler Spencer!

Who’s ready for a mezcal mullet?
He started a trend of men wearing jewelry after sporting a chain around their necks on Normal People. Now Paul Mescal is on a mission to bring back… the mullet.
The news emerged during a chat he gave with fellow actors Andrew Scott and Saoirse Ronan, his co-star in last year’s film Foe.
Saoirse said: ‘I was in a hair and make-up van and he said to me, ‘I think I’m going to get a mullet and I think everyone is going to love it’. But I said, ‘That’s a terrible idea’.
But Paul is adamant: “It’s coming back,” he jokes.

2 in the morning? It’s just beginning!
Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy made quite the entrance on Friday afternoon when they were photographed walking purposefully through Worthy Farm.
And they were still going strong at 2am when I saw them in the VIP reception area discussing what outfits they would wear next as the night was still young. I hope they had recovered enough to see Coldplay headlining the Pyramid Stage last night.

From headlines to bass lines
BBC News is never like that! TV journalist Ros Atkins was drenched in sweat as he performed his DJ set in a packed and stiflingly hot tent yesterday.
The 50-year-old (right), who started DJing as a student at Cambridge, played drum ‘n’ bass tracks, including a remix of the BBC News theme, at the Stonebridge Bar.
Before the concert, Ros said: ‘I wonder what this would look like. A BBC journalist at a rave?
Sweaty is the answer!

The brilliant life of cider…
Country megastar Shania Twain will be playing the coveted legends slot later today and has been preparing for her Worthy Farm debut by sampling the West Country’s favorite tipple.
And it seems the 54-year-old’s first sip of cider left her wanting more. The Canadian singer, who plans to ride a horse onto the Pyramid Stage, says: “I was surprised that it’s so light. I was expecting something spicier and too sweet.”
Hopefully he’ll stick to his greatest hits and not start singing Man, I Feel Like A Cider instead…

Let’s talk about suffering for her art. The chainmail that Florence Pugh had to wear for her role as Princess Irulan in Dune: Part 2 was so heavy that she had to take regular naps on set. And weight wasn’t the only problem.
On Friday, the 28-year-old told the Glasto audience: “The tights were freezing! It was freezing at 5am when I got to work.”
It’s not just the tents that campers abandon at the end of the festival. Co-organiser Emily Eavis says staff come across all sorts of unusual objects: “You find things in trees for months.”
Once there was a bra right at the top of a tree. How did someone manage to upload that there?
Mia Regan’s dress at Glastonbury looked like it had gotten permanently tangled in one of the tents.
Mia’s dress? It’s very camp
Pitching a tent is always a struggle…and it looks like Mia Regan has gotten permanently tangled in hers.
Romeo Beckham’s ex-girlfriend, 21, was photographed last week in Paris wearing a Pierre Cardin dress that looks sturdier than the accommodations of many Glasto attendees.
The model, who was dressed more casually at the festival, is an expert at camping in difficult conditions. Last year, she undertook a three-day high-altitude trek in Nepal.
