Emilia Clarke is reportedly joining the star-studded cast in the Marvel series Secret Invasion.
Sources claim the Game Of Thrones star, 34, has landed a lead role in the upcoming Disney + show, although the details of her character are being kept secret.
It comes just a day after reports that Oscar winner Olivia Colman is also in talks to appear on the show alongside Samuel L. Jackson, which will focus on an alien race that has lived on Earth for years.

According to Variety, Emilia will be making her Marvel debut in the upcoming series, although little is known about her character.
While the actress is best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, she also starred in Last Christmas, Terminator Genisys and Solo: A Star Wars Story.
It was also reported Tuesday that Olivia is in talks to star in Secret Invasion opposite Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

The show that will act as a direct sequel to the 2019 Captain Marvel movie, which also starred Samuel as a younger version of the SHIELD agent.
The series, the latest in Marvel’s hugely successful lineup of shows, is thought to begin filming in the UK and Europe this fall.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will use Captain Marvel as its launch pad and focus on the agent Fury and a Skrull shapeshifter, played by Ben Mendelsohn.

Little is known about the plot of the series, but the surprising arrival of Skrulls on Earth is thought to play a part in the show.
Directors are reportedly already lining up and Kyle Bradstreet, who helmed acclaimed Mr Robot, will act as writer and executive producer.

Samuel played Nick Fury in a slew of movies set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and last appeared in Avengers: Endgame and Spiderman: Far From Home in 2019.
The final film ended with the explosive turn that Fury viewers knew was actually a Scrull, and with the real Agent in command of the alien race’s spaceship.
Olivia won her first Academy Award in 2019 for her performance in The Favorite and has also been praised for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II in series three and four of The Crown.

The reports come just days before the 2021 Oscars, where Olivia is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Father.
Currently, the star is filming the Sky drama Landscapers, where she plays the murderer Susan Edwards.
Olivia will appear opposite Harry Potter actor David Thewlis in the drama as the murderous couple Susan and Christopher Edwards.
The couple were sentenced to life after shooting Susan’s parents in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, in 1998, and burying them in the garden, where they remained undiscovered for 15 years.
After landing the role, Olivia said, ‘I love Ed’s scripts … just as much as he cooks a lot of my meals. It’s rare to be desperate to play a part in the first reading of a script, but that was the case here. ‘
